So we're in this great place and kind of by the kitchen which adds to the bustle and I like the music; which is a little too loud, and that helps too.
I knew I was in a good place when we got there and there were various people standing up on the table trying to change a light bulb up high on track lighting above the table. The lady I liked instantly, who wanted to get things done- went and got somebody she knew who could fix it- and got him to do just that. And she made a joke with us. "Sure, this is the kind of thing that happens all the time. We always stand up on table tops here."
Our waitress was named Summer and I think that's probably a good name for a waitress. If you're young and pretty and you're a waitress, consider using that name at work. What you'll do when you hit 45 I'm not sure, but it worked for her.
She kept my Cokes coming and brought everything out quickly and correctly. The spinach was sauteed and the mango salsa was interesting and the chocolate cake- hot, with ice cream, raspberry sauce and whipped cream- was fantastic. The grilled scallops over polenta (with a little corn in it, bacon and cheese and some kind of slightly hot sauce) was delicious and the grilled shrimp was delicious and the herb pesto was great and the fresh baked bread was great. Even the butter was great. The ceviche was really good and the mussels dish had a sauce that was really awesome that we all sighed when the waitress cleared away the plate.
The ride by the beach was nice and the lights around the intercoastal shone nicely; complementing the night spots on Lake Avenue.
Nice night.
