I have some friends who are very successful at maintaining the perfect weight.
Do you want to know who they are?
They are not people who eat a lot right now because they tell themselves they are going to start dieting tomorrow.
If you don't have enough reason to put down the chocolate chip cookie right now, why are you fooling yourself that you are going to be stronger or have more reason to put it down tomorrow which has enough problems of its own and the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day?
Do you see how this thinking is a recipe for failure?
When you do this, you guarantee that you are going to fail and this is not good for you.
Don't set yourself up for failure. Set yourself up for success. The world is full of delicious things, and awful things, and mediocre things, and just get over it, because you're never going to eat them all. Instead, concentrate on what you are going to eat.
Please enjoy a bite of something delicious, right now.
That's right.
Please enjoy a bite of something really wonderfully delicious, right now.
Put down the mouse. Look away from the screen, and this moment, before reading further, please enjoy a bite of something that is just delicious. And please enjoy a bite of something delicious tomorrow. A bite is your friend, not the enemy. Enjoy the bite, not the whole cake.
