Somewhere around the age of five, we start doing things for the benefit of others more often than being ourselves. It's nice to go back into that space where we didn't care if anyone was listening to us sing or watching us dance or critiquing our drawing. Our behavior was unadulterated.
My good friend said today that it would be great to catch kids with all that is good with the education system before they start living their lives for the benefit of others. We could have preschool self-confidence classes and we could teach kids more of what they need when they need it, instead of subjecting them to decades of what is mostly crowd control.
I'm complaining again about the educational system which is actually one of the best things ever. But why can't we make it better?
