Sunday

Nice breakfast at Keke's Breakfast Cafe.

Met Danielle. There was a good waitress, and the potatoes were fantastic.

I can't believe other people wanted that much black pepper in them, but I thought they were just great.

It was a birthday, and there were six of us.

Family dinner this afternoon at Casa Linda.

Today

I passed the Palm Beach mansion with the pink gate, were those things going on, and only locals know it.

😉

On the radio

That guy on the Spectrum, talked about people coming to the table in reference to that Christian song.

And, he said, if you're bitter you should come to the table.

And, he said, if you're a cheat, you should come to the table.

There's only plastic silverware, and a wobbly Table leg, but there's room.

Are the Ten Commandments

something we don't follow at all?

Well, I was always taught that idolatry was something in the past, or, it meant believing in something more than God.

But, it's very easy to say one believes in God. Just like it's very easy to say One Believes In a sports team. Or one believes in one's country.

But, if we don't do anything for those entities, are they really an idol?

So, one way to think about it, is that we should do things for God, that someone would do for an Idol.

I'm going to ignore the random capitalization at this text to speech.

Yesterday, I was thinking about gluttony.

Like idolatry, I was thinking it was something of the past.

Really?

Everybody in my family is fatter than the person we used to think was fat.

How about, pretty much all of us are gluttons?

Depressed persons mode of living, which is, a successful day is getting out of the house and going to a restaurant, is proof.

It's world-changing to realize that food is an addiction for almost everybody.

And, not judging the obese person, gives us permission to ignore ourselves.

But, then, so does Jesse in the obese person.

The storm

 Certain ports present themselves,
With certainty and comfort.

But, which of these comforts are helpful to me in the long run?.

Monday, July 23, 2018

So this guy

comes into McDonald's, and sits down, like he's not sure where he is.

He's got an ink stain on his back right pocket. He's obviously carried a pen there.

I wonder when that was.

He comes back to the table, and he's holding an ice cream cone, but suddenly his hair is rich, glossy gray, and very full.

Now, it's most likely, his hair looked like that the whole time. But I sure didn't notice.

I wonder when he bought it.

But, then there's the fact that when I see people, associated with a large group, I tend to think a few of them are the same person.

I guess I see patterns.

Well, everybody sees patterns.

Animals see patterns.

But I see patterns when other people don't see patterns. And, I have to admit, patterns where there aren't patterns. Or, where the patterns aren't significant.

God damn white people

Yesterday, or maybe the day before, I heard Rosanne Barr say that she thought quote the b**** was white quote.

I've been looking for a black woman, but I think I'll switch to Hispanic.

White Chicks be like, so superficial. And the only ones that are worth living with, are so boring it's amazing.

How does somebody live, as a woman, with no opinions about taste?

Hey, nice white woman, you really want your hair to look like that?

So, I obviously need a woman with a little color, who's not a b****.

That means a Hispanic woman, or a black w. oman

Thanks again text to speech. What is it that you help me out, but since I don't like the way you help me out, I complain?

International news

People either believe in fake news, or they don't believe the news is fake.

I think, they tell us what they want us to know. And that's not going to be something too hard to prove or too hard to disprove. But it doesn't matter at all if it's true in order to get printed.

There's evidence for everything, after all.

Today a Facebook poster wondered why Chinese hackers aren't talked about anymore, but Russian hackers are talked about every day.

And I don't watch the news, but it does seem like one story replaced the other.

And there's no way one s and one stopped. tarted

Remember when the North Koreans could send a nuke to Guam? And that didn't raise enough concern so then, the North Koreans could send a nuke to Hawaii?

And, nobody cared, so there was a volcano in Hawaii, and suddenly the whole Western half United States could be hit by North Korea's pretend nuclear missiles? Well, maybe you don't remember.

Jimmy tournament

No, text to speech. Trivia tournament.

There's a 6 week. Tournament coming up, and I'm deciding whether or not to enter.

The price is either 500 or $200.
But it's not about the money these days. It hasn't been about the money for quite a while.

The
I remember when that happened.

New things

Getting used to new things, it's hard for me.

But, it just occurred to me, that is as hard or harder for the young people.

This comes as a big surprise to me, having taught kids classes many times in the  two or three Summers  before this two-year nightmare.

For me, recently, there is text to speech. I'm getting used to it. And I really like it now. But it still bothers me that grammar is inconsistent and particularly, that capitalization is nearly random.

I want to be able to look up on Google the differences between words with a capital letter and words with a small letter.

But this is impossible, at least as far as I know. It's probably not impossible. But I don't want to take the time to look it up.

Then there's cell phone itself.

I'm find myself, never really withou, except when I'm trying to sleep. t it

Just yesterday, a friend who would use the cell phone twice in 10 minutes, told me that it has really changed her life. I just smile, and said I think it's changed all of us more than we realize.

I used to tell my students, that we've changed technology, but what's really happened, is it technology has changed us.

And I still think that's true.

I think that's more true now, than I thought before. Well, what I really mean is I think with more certainty that it's true than the certainty I had before it affected me so much.

Florida hot

 It's here people.

Improve of global warming it's here.

Recently, I told somebody about the waging of social war in the winning of social war by owning the term.

I use the example of pro-life.

Once, pro-choice was used enough in the media, the whole country changed its mind on that issue.

There will always be people who don't agree with abortion, but at a certain point Americans stop thinking they had the right to tell other pe that.

Today, somebody said, in a semi public forum, well rather a meeting, the people had every right to kill themselves. And she said it more than once.

I didn't point out that suicide is a cr

Independence Day 2018

Once again, I'm listening to firecrackers go off and thinking, that somebody is spending their food stamps money unwisely.

Here I am in Boynton Beach  and feeling like that makes me feel old.
