I can't believe that Mexico is actually considering the relinquishment of the state of Chihuahua.

It's true.

No it's not.  It's April 1st.

Mexican authorities announced today that a referendum will take place in November to determine if the governance of the state of Chihuahua will remain under the jurisdiction of Mexico City.

A bid has come in from the state of North Dakota, to the north, in an effort to capitalize on the burgeoning trafficking of chihuahuas to several areas in the north and west of The United States.

North Dakota is taking the lead in this initiative, in order to put the squeeze on Montana and South Dakota, before those politicians can even think of such a thing.

By putting in a bid to consolidate the two states; one of which is now in Mexico, and one which is now in The United States, leaders in the northern state hope to provide jobs and income to both areas.

In conjunction with the November elections in the state of Chihuahua, a referendum will be held to determine if the citizens there wish to join North Dakotans and become citizens of The United States.

Happy April Fool's!
