A quick Google search tells me that March is named for Mars, and that
it began the Roman calendar and that it wasn't good manners to fight
during this time.
I just remembered my cousin once said
that the name March came from a famous family name; that of the family
in Little Women. He generally spoke in a tone that could or could not
have signified that he was serious.
I tend to mix up
March and May- presumably because they start the same, I have to pause a
second and think about which is which.
